Selepas feeling feeling NZ kat Desa Cattle, Syam brought us to Kinabalu Park. As we arrived there, the day started to get dark. Tapi sebab nak tengok jugak starting point orang mendaki gunung Kinabalu, Syam gagahkan jugak bawa naik sampai atas. The road was curvy and foggy because we were driving up to the hill. Dengan cuaca yang semakin dingin, kalau sorang sorang kena lepas kat situ pun cuak jugak. Boleh pulak on the way up kitorang bercerita pasal bunian dan makhluk halus. Tsk.
The starting point is called Pondok Timpohon.
Actually when the sky is clear, you'll be able to see the Mt Kinabalu from this point in closer view. Sadly, we could not see it as the clouds were already 'hiding' it.
On our last day in Kundasang, we went to visit Kundasang War Memorial. Just nearby our homestay. Ini untuk cukupkan syarat menjadi pelancong je ni. Pasal kitorang ni bab sejarah ni kureng sikit. More to nature and adventure. Setakat nak cukupkan syarat amik gambar je. Hahaha.
Masuk murah ja. RM 1 if tak silap. Ke lebih daripada tu entah. Dah lupa pasal Syam yang bayarkan. Sebab tu tak amik port sangat. War Memorial ni banyak garden dan tugu. Dia bagitau pasal sejarah perang kat Kundasang ni. Kema hafal pasal dia ada rekod video. Anyway, layankan ja la gambar kami noh.
Sorry Kema. I found this to be eye catching so I posted it here.
On our way, kitorang singgah kat Pekan Nabalu untuk shopping souvenir. Banyak gerai kat sini tetapi produk yang dijual lebih kurang sama. Cuma harga ja yang berbeza. Kena pandai tawar. Nak cakap murah sangat tak jugak. Kitorang berbelah bagi nak beli siap siap souvenir kat sini or tunggu kat KK nanti. Masing masing keluarkan teori. "Aku rasa sini murah" "Aku rasa sana murah lagi pasal pekan besar, sini pekan kecik, tak famous, sebab tu dia mark up harga". Macam macam hipotesis la keluar. Dalam berhipotesis tu, keluaq jugak duit beli souvenir. Beli sikit je dulu.
Kema's trying the sumpit.
Elin's trying to look like local but she turned up to look like Vietnamese rather than Sabahan.
Zack's trying to play the gamelan gong.
Antara produk yang dijual.
Us with our catch.
Cer teka benda apakah ini. Hehehe. Kerepek ubi kayu madu. Sedap sangat.
Yang ini pulak biskut beras. Tiba tiba teringin.
We stopped by Pekan Kudat to have our lunch. Not bad. Cara ikan dihidangkan menarik perhatian. Macam ikan bersayap. Fly....fly....
The never ending journey is worth driving for when we were able to see the Tip of Borneo by ourselves. Kasi teaser sikit dulu kat tip of borneo.
To be continued....
